Düsseldorf, 27 November 2007. Danaher Motion, the specialist in motion control technology, is now offering their Cartridge DDR direct drive motors in smaller sizes. Cartridge DDR motors allow machine builders to connect the motor direct to the load, allowing for the elimination of mechanical linkages and gearing systems, reducing machine cost and improving performance. The new models, with flange sizes of 108, 137 and 188mm, combine the advantages of direct drive motors – which include small dimensions and constant, high torque, high dynamics and accuracy, as well as low maintenance and wear – with the fast assembly of enclosed motors. This allows smaller machines to be built more quickly - machines that provide higher workpiece quality at higher output, while generating lower follow-up costs than conventional solutions.   more >
