Kollmorgen developed a group of linear actuators for commercial trim surface applications.

The units have been designed to operate in demanding aerospace environmental conditions, meeting all required airworthiness standards and specifications. The units employ brushless DC motor technology and integral, closed loop drive electronics in a compact package.

Proven reliability has been achieved by integrating brushless technology to reduce wear and increase MTBF values.

Danaher Motion has designed and manufactured both brush and brushless motors for multi axis aircraft radar platforms. Danaher Motion has supplied these motors for many of the military aircraft currently in use. These motor designs are varied in their size and envelope, but all exhibit the high performance to weight ratio necessary in military aircraft applications.
